Sheffield United midfielder Kasia Lipka has signed a new one-year deal with the club.
The 28-year-old is in her second spell with her hometown club after previously spending her youth with The Blades. She overcame an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury to play an instrumental role for Sheffield United last season, featuring in every game.
Lipka has been with Sheffield United for the last two years and the club have today confirmed that the player has signed a new one-year contract extension at The Technique Stadium. FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the deal via an official club press release.
Speaking after agreeing new terms with The Blades, Lipka said “I’m really pleased to sign again. I really enjoyed last season, we missed out on promotion but I think we made lots of progress on the pitch as a group and I’m looking forward to building on that this year.
“It felt amazing to play every game last season. At a point during my rehab, I thought I’d never play again so I’m delighted with that.”
Lipka becomes the tenth Sheffield United player to extend her contract with the club for the coming season. Continuity in personnel will be vitally important if The Blades are going to mount a strong push for promotion.
