Coventry United have made yet another summer signing with the addition of forward Rio Hardy on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old attacker recently returned to the UK following a spell with Cypriot top flight club Apollon Limassol. Hardy won the Cypriot First Division with Apollon while she also netted an impressive six goals in the club’s adventures in the UEFA Women’s Champions League over the course of the last two seasons.
With Hardy now being on home soil it has been confirmed that the player has joined Coventry United. The Red and Greens confirmed the deal via a post on their official Twitter account while the forward has signed a one-year deal at the Butts Park Arena.

Hardy becomes Coventry United’s ninth signing of the summer. She could join forces with the FA Women’s Championship’s top scorer from the last two seasons, Katie Wilkinson, at the Warwickshire club this season.
Hardy has been playing in Cyprus with her twin Steffi Hardy. The pair have played together at Blackburn Rovers, in the United States and in Iceland before moving to Apollon. With one half of the Hardy’s now at Coventry United, you wouldn’t rule out another reunion in the not-so-distant future.
