Liverpool have completed the signing of former Tottenham Hotspur forward Rianna Dean according to reports on The Reds’ official website.
The 22-year-old Uxbridge-born attacker moves to Prenton Park on a free transfer with the player having been released by Spurs at the end of her contract.
In her three years with Spurs, Dean netted 18 league goals. The player scored 14 times in her first season with the club as the North Londoners won promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
After joining Liverpool, Dean said “I’m buzzing, the club is massive, I’m really looking forward to it and I’m really happy to be here.
“My job is to score goals and hopefully that is what the fans will see from me. I like to work hard and do my best for the team.
“I’ve come here to get promotion and help the team push on.”
Dean is the second forward to join Liverpool this summer after manager Matt Beard recently acquired the services of Republic of Ireland international Leanne Kiernan. The Reds still look a little light in that area of the pitch and Beard could yet make further attacking additions prior to the start of the new FA Women’s Championship season next month.
