Coventry United midfielder Destiney Toussaint has agreed a contract extension with the club.
The 32-year-old joined The Red and Greens from Birmingham City during the second half of last season and she has impressed manager Jay Bradford.
Toussaint made eight appearances for Coventry United in the FA Women’s Championship in what is her second spell with the Warwickshire club.
With 18 players already contracted to Coventry United for the new season, the club today made Toussaint their 19th squad member. News of the player’s new deal was announced by the club in a post on their official Twitter account.

Toussaint has a wealth of second tier experience to offer Coventry United. The player has twice represented London Bees in the second tier while she has also previously turned out for Oxford United and Aston Villa.
After returning to fitness following long term injury, Toussaint joined Birmingham City early last season and the midfielder proved to be a useful squad player for the Blues. Toussaint made six appearances for the club in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League while she was also given a couple of outings in the domestic cups.
Toussaint’s understanding and knowledge of second tier football will be important to Coventry United as they look to gatecrash the top half of the FA Women’s Championship table this season.
