Former Arsenal midfielder Nunn joins London City Lionesses

London City Lionesses head coach Melissa Phillips has completed her second signing of the summer with the addition of former Arsenal midfielder Brooke Nunn.

The 28-year-old attack-minded player has spent the last three seasons playing in the FA Women’s Championship with London Bees and she has today agreed to swap North West London for Kent by signing for London City Lionesses. The player will wear the number 28 shirt for The Pride.

Nunn has been a regular in the London Bees side in recent seasons. The player has chalked up 29 appearances in the second tier while she has netted one goal. Nunn was a member of a Bees side who recorded their highest-ever league finish in 2019/2020 when they were fifth in the FA Women’s Championship.

After joining London City Lionesses, Nunn told the club’s official media team “I’m extremely excited for the journey ahead. The staff and team have been very welcoming, which has made me feel right at home.

“The club have big ambitions, a powerful vision, and a strong work ethic which I am very grateful to be a part of.”

London City Lionesses boss Phillips has now completed two transfers in as many days. The club announced the signing of highly-rated Republic of Ireland international forward Rianna Jarrett yesterday on a free transfer following her release by former club Brighton & Hove Albion.
