Birmingham City forward Abbi Grant has confirmed that she has left the club after two seasons with the Blues.
The 25-year-old Scotland international attacker was one of 13 players who were offered a new contract by Birmingham City at the end of last season but she has opted against taking up the club’s offer.
Grant joins Hannah Hampton, Sarah Mayling and Claudia Walker in opting to move on for a fresh challenge.
The player confirmed her decision via an emotional post on her personal Twitter account this afternoon.

After enjoying a brief spell in Belgium with Anderlecht, Grant completed a move to Birmingham City in summer 2019. The forward scored two goals in 13 Barclays FA Women’s Super League appearances in her first season with the Blues before long term injury restricted her game time last season.
After a promising start to her Birmingham City career, the player soon made her competitive debut for Scotland while she netted two goals for her country at the 2020 Pinatar Cup.
The player would have arguably made a huge difference to Birmingham City’s battle in the lower reaches of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table last season had she been fit and Grant will now be looking to make a positive impression with her new club.
