The Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s reigning champions Chelsea will travel to Arsenal for their opening fixture of the 2021/2022 season.
Emma Hayes will take her side to Boreham Wood to face an Arsenal side who will be under the guidance of new head coach Jonas Eidevall for the very first time.
In other notable fixtures, big spending Everton will host a Manchester City side which is likely to include some big summer signings of their own with the likes of Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Vicky Losada in-line for debuts, while newly-promoted Leicester City begin life in the top flight at Midlands rivals Aston Villa.
Finally, Brighton & Hove Albion host West Ham United, Manchester United will take on Reading while new Birmingham City boss Scott Booth will take his side to The Hive to face Tottenham Hotspur.
The opening weekend of fixtures in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League are scheduled to be played between 3 and 5 September 2021. The season is currently set to end on the weekend of 7 and 8 May 2021.
