Versatile midfielder Paul signs new Sheffield United deal

Versatile midfielder Alethea Paul has signed a new contract with Sheffield United for the coming season.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three seasons with The Blades and she will now continue on the club’s journey for another year after agreeing a new deal.

Sheffield United announced the news of Paul’s contract extension via an official club press release earlier today.

After signing on at The Technique Stadium for another year, Paul said “It feels great, I can’t wait really. It’s obviously been a tough one having the injury in December and then my surgery in January, but I can’t wait to crack on. The new group of girls seem great and I’m really looking forward to it.

“I feel really strong. I’ve not felt any issues so far and it’s been a massive boost having everyone else
back in now because it can get lonely during rehab. I’m really enjoying it at the moment.”

Paul made three appearances for Sheffield United in the FA Women’s Championship last season before an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury prematurely ended her campaign. The player is now on the comeback trail and she will be looking to make her mark as Sheffield United aim to mount a fresh promotion bid.
