Reading forwards Amalie Eikeland and Jeon Ga-eul have signed new contracts with the club for the coming season according to reports on The Royals’ official website.
The pair join youngster Bethan Roberts in signing new deals at the Select Car Leasing Stadium this summer.
Norwegian international attacker Eikeland has spent the last two years with The Royals after joining the club from Toppserien club IL Sandviken. The player has made 36 appearances for Reading in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League while she has netted four goals.
Teammate Jeon joined Reading last summer following a short spell with Bristol City. The experienced South Korean international started one league game for Kelly Chambers’ side last season while the player was named as a substitute on 12 occasions. Jeon could offer more to Reading this season with the forward now beginning to get up to speed with the pace of the league.
Reading boss Chambers will be looking for both players to contribute more goals in the upcoming campaign. The Royals fell short in attack last season with the club dropping far too many points as a result of not killing games off.
The Royals begin the new season at Manchester United on Sunday 5 September.
