Birmingham City make their St Andrew’s return this afternoon when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
The Blues fought hard last time out against a tough opponent in Tottenham Hotspur but unfortunately for Scott Booth’s side, they fell to a 1-0 defeat. Brighton & Hove Albion’s season started well with a 2-0 win over West Ham United with midfielder Inessa Kaagman scoring a penalty and Lee Geum-Min finishing the game off with a second before half-time.
Birmingham City boss Booth will again be without Scotland international Christie Murray through long term injury. Youngster Arabella Suttie is also expected to miss out after she picked up a knock in training this week.
Hope Powell’s Brighton & Hove Albion side moved into a new training facility this week and they will want to cap-off an historic few days with a win in the Midlands. Powell confirmed in her press conference on Friday that The Seagulls have a fully fit squad available.
The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Birmingham City and Brighton & Hove Albion at St Andrew’s kicks-off at 2pm. Cash turnstiles will be in operation for fans who are wanting to pay on the day.
