Chelsea and Arsenal have learnt of their opponents in the group stage of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League with the draw having taken place this lunchtime.
The competition has seen the group format introduced for the very first time this year with 16 clubs battling it out for places in the quarter-finals.

Arsenal have impressed coming through Rounds 1 and 2 and they have been rewarded for their progress by being placed in Group C, a group which includes European champions FC Barcelona, German side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and debutants HB Køge of Denmark.
Teams will play each other twice, once at home and once away, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the last eight. The group stage will begin on 5 October 2021 and will conclude on 16 December 2021. The draw for the quarter-finals is currently scheduled to take place on 20 December 2021.
This season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final will be staged at the Juventus Stadium in Turin with a date still to be confirmed.
