Crystal Palace will be looking to leapfrog Charlton Athletic in the FA Women’s Championship table when the two sides meet at Hayes Lane on Sunday.
Palace currently occupy fifth position while latest opponents Charlton Athletic are sitting in fourth.
The Eagles produced a shock last time out, defeating league leaders Durham 3-1, a result which stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to five games. Palace are currently six points off the top of the table and the form of key players such as Siobhan Wilson and Kirsty Barton has helped them to recover from a tricky start to the season.
As for the visitors, they come into the game in poor form with no wins in their last three league outings. The Addicks did manage to hold Sheffield United to a goalless draw away from home in their last game after back-to-back defeats to Lewes and Sunderland respectively. Head coach Karen Hills will be confident that her side will improve and get back to how they started the season but four straight games in all competitions without scoring is an issue.
Both of these sides finished last season in similar positions with Palace claiming seventh and Charlton Athletic completing the campaign in eighth. The two meetings between the two sides ended in score draws.
