Reading have this evening confirmed that South Korean international attacker Jeon Ga-eul has left the club.
The 33-year-old has spent the last 18 months with The Royals but she has now left the Select Car Leasing Stadium and is expected to continue her career back in her homeland.
Jeon only signed a new contract with Reading in the summer but she has departed after making just two substitute appearances for the club in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League this season amounting to just 19 minutes of football.
Reading announced the news earlier this evening via a post on their official club Twitter account.
We can today announce @Gaeul88 has left Reading Women FC
We’d like to thank Jeon for all she gave the side, and wish her all the best for the future 💙🤍 pic.twitter.com/SpVnrDxblt

Jeon has spent the last two years playing her football in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. The player joined Bristol City on a short term deal in January 2020 but she soon left The Robins after making just two appearances for the club. The attacker joined Reading ahead of the 2020/2021 season and she has gone on to make six league appearances during her time in Berkshire.
Reading have announced one incoming and one ongoing so far this winter with Danish legend Sanne Troelsgaard having agreed to join the club on a two-and-a-half-year deal last week.
