Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of forward Amaya Coleman-Evans according to reports on the Lancashire club’s official website.
The 18-year-old is highly-rated and she will now test herself in the elite English game with Blackburn Rovers.
It is understood that the player has been on trial with the FA Women’s Championship club and she has impressed manager Gemma Donnelly enough to earn herself a deal. The length of Coleman-Evans’ contract at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium has been left undisclosed by Blackburn Rovers.
Coleman-Evans is a wide forward who has most recently been playing her football in Spain with Real Oviedo. The player arrives at Blackburn Rovers with Spanish Segunda División Femenina experience under her belt after making 13 league appearances for Real Oviedo over the course of two seasons.
After completing her move to England, Coleman-Evans said “I’m very happy to have signed for Blackburn Rovers.
“I’m excited for the challenge and to sign for Blackburn in the Championship is a dream.”
International clearance has seemingly already been obtained for Coleman-Evans with the player set to be available for selection when Blackburn Rovers take on Bristol City at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium on Sunday in their latest FA Women’s Championship match.
