Aston Villa midfielder Blindkilde Brown pens long term deal

Aston Villa midfielder Laura Blindkilde Brown has signed a contract extension with the club which will see her remain at The Banks’s Stadium until summer 2025.

The Villans announced the news via their official club website this afternoon. Blindkilde Brown’s new deal comes less than six months after the youngster signed her first professional terms with the club.

The 18-year-old is one of several young talents to come out of Aston Villa’s WSL Academy League side over the past couple of seasons. The midfielder was previously on the books of Aston Villa’s Second City rivals Birmingham City before changing her allegiances to claret and blue.

Blindkilde Brown made her Barclays FA Women’s Super League debut for Aston Villa in their 3-0 defeat at Reading in October and she has gone on to make four further league appearances for Carla Ward’s side. The youngster has also played in three FA Women’s Continental League Cup group matches, scoring her first professional goal in the 7-0 away victory at Sunderland in early December.

On the international stage, Blindkilde Brown has represented England up to and including Under-19 level and she will now be aiming to climb the Lionesses’ age groups towards the senior squad in the coming years.

Blindkilde Brown will be hoping to celebrate her new deal with an appearance against Everton at Walton Hall Park on Sunday.
