Tickets for England’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 opener against Austria at Old Trafford have now officially sold out.
The final few tickets have been snapped up in the last few hours meaning that the Lionesses are set to open the home EUROs in-front of over 70,000 fans in Manchester.
The game is the eighth of the 31 tournament matches to be completely sold out. Both of England’s other two group matches against Norway and Northern Ireland have also been declared sellouts at this early stage. The final at Wembley was the first game to sell out when tickets went on general sale last month while two of the four quarter-final matches have also seen all tickets sold.
UEFA provided their latest update on official ticket sales via their dedicated tournament twitter account this morning. While eight games have been declared sellouts, there may be further limited tickets released at a later date for those matches should any space become available.
