Forward Bianca Baptiste has announced that she is leaving FA Women’s Championship club Crystal Palace this summer.
The 30-year-old attacker has spent the last three seasons with The Eagles after joining the club from Tottenham Hotspur in summer 2019.
Baptiste has made 50 appearances for Crystal Palace in the FA Women’s Championship in which she has scored 12 goals. The player has thrilled the fans with her pace, skill, trickery and clinical finishing in her time at Hayes Lane.
Baptiste was a member of a Crystal Palace team who recorded a highest-ever finish of fourth place in the second tier this season.
When announcing her Crystal Palace exit, Baptiste said “After three years, I will be leaving Palace.
“Just want to say thank you to the staff and also my teammates, you have given me so much laughter and also have supported me through my hardest moments in life.
“Thank you to the fans for sticking with us throughout everything.”
Despite hitting the age of 30, Baptiste still has an awful lot to offer the elite game. The player is expected to be tracked by a number of clubs this summer and it would be no surprise to see her playing FA Women’s Championship football again in 2022/2023.
