Manchester City forward Jess Park has signed a three-year contract extension.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Manchester City this morning.
The 20-year-old still has a year left to run on her current deal at The Academy Stadium meaning that Park will now remain with The Cityzens until summer 2026.
Park made a real impact in the Manchester City team this season. The youngster made 13 appearances for Gareth Taylor’s side in the Barclays Women’s Super League, her largest number of league appearances in a single season to date. The forward also recently chalked up her 50th appearance in all competitions for The Cityzens. Park’s impressive performances for her club have resulted in many questioning whether the time is right to hand her a senior England call-up.
After extending her current deal with Manchester City, Park said “This is my Club and this is where I want
to be – I’m so excited to commit my future to City
“It’s such a great club – from the players and staff to the facilities and the environment, it’s just such an amazing place to be.
“I’ve supported City my entire life and I think my passion for the Club is definitely clear to see in everything I do, especially on the pitch.
“I’ve learnt so much from the players around me and the coaching staff over the last two seasons since I signed my first professional contract, and I’m looking forward to continuing that for the next four years.”
News of Park’s contract extension comes just days after Manchester City announced three summer signings in Deyna Castellanos, Leila Ouahabi and Laia Aleixandri.
