Sheffield United full-back Alethea Paul has signed a new contract with the club for the 2022/2023 season.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Sheffield United this afternoon.
The 23-year-old has been with Sheffield United since their first season in the elite game in 2018/2019. The player came back from long term injury to make 16 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Championship this season. She netted her only league goal in a 3-1 home defeat to Lewes back in November.
Only a handful of Sheffield United players made more appearances than Paul this season and she remains a vital member of the team. The club will therefore be delighted to have retained her services again for another year.
After signing on at Sheffield United for 2022/2023, Paul said “I’m really excited. It was a bit of a no-brainer for me at this point, I really enjoyed myself last season and I think we have a real chance to kick on this season and I’m really excited to see where it goes.”
Paul joins Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, Maddy Cusack, Charlotte Newsham, Tamara Wilcock, Lara Miller, Mia Enderby and Bex Rayner in agreeing fresh terms with Sheffield United this summer.
