Durham forward Saoirse Noonan has signed a new contract with the club for the upcoming season.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Wildcats this afternoon.
Noonan joined Durham during the January transfer window but a troublesome injury denied the player the opportunity to make an impact in the early days of her career at Maiden Castle. The Republic of Ireland international returned to former club Shelbourne in the latter stages of last season in a bid to complete a successful recovery.
The forward has now returned to parent club Durham and she is ready to impress in the North East after signing a new contract with the club.
After signing on at Maiden Castle, Noonan said “I’m delighted. It’s definitely exciting and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.
“The support I received from Durham during my injury was unbelievable. They supported me when I was at home and I was really grateful.
“Coming back to England now, fully fit and ready to go, is a great opportunity.”
Noonan joins Sarah Robson, Sarah Wilson, Mollie Lambert, Lauren Briggs, Becky Salicki and Ellie Christon in signing a new contract with Durham during the close season.
