Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of South Korean international midfielder Park Ye-eun according to reports on the club’s official website.
The 25-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal with The Seagulls while Park has become Brighton & Hove Albion boss Hope Powell’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
Park joins Brighton & Hove Albion from South Korean WK League club Gyeongju KHNP, a successful team who have finished as runners-up in their league in each of the last four seasons.
On the international stage, Park has been on the fringes of the South Korean national team. She has been a member of South Korean sides which have finished as runners-up in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup and in the EAFF E-1 Football Championship.
After completing the capture of Park, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Powell said “We’re delighted to welcome Ye-Eun to the club. She is an energetic and versatile player and we feel she can give us a lot of good options in midfield.
“Obviously Lee (Geum-min) knows her very well from their time playing for South Korea together. She is very keen to play in Europe and develop her game and we look forward to working with her.”
Park could make her Brighton & Hove Albion debut against Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.
