West Ham United complete the signing of Norwegian winger Kyvåg

West Ham United have completed the signing of Norwegian youth international winger Thea Kyvåg.

The Hammers announced the deal this afternoon via a post on their official club website. Kyvåg has signed a three-year deal at The Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Kyvåg is a Norwegian Under-19 international who can operate out wide in midfield, at full-back or in attack. The teenager has joined West Ham United from Norwegian club LSK Kvinner. Kyvåg has made more than 50 senior appearances for her former club in all competitions, a handful of which have come in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

After completing her move to West Ham United, Kyvåg said “I’m really looking forward to joining West Ham United.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to play outside of Norway, and I’ve always looked up to players that have made the move to the Barclays Women’s Super League.

“I would describe myself as someone that likes to get forward, to be direct and ultimately, help the team win matches. It will be amazing to begin this new adventure in England and to test myself in the best league in the world.”

Kyvåg has become West Ham United manager Paul Konchesky’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
