Chelsea full-back Niamh Charles has signed a new three-year deal with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news this morning via an official club press release from Chelsea.
Charles joined The Blues from Liverpool back in summer 2020 and the player has enjoyed some rapid development in her two years at Kingsmeadow. The defender has won five trophies in two seasons with Chelsea, those being two Barclays FA Women’s Super League titles, two Vitality Women’s FA Cups and the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup.
The youngster will now have her eyes set on winning more silverware after committing her future to Chelsea for the next three years.
After signing her new deal, Charles said “I’m really proud to have signed a new contract with Chelsea and to continue representing the badge with pride.
“The past two years have been incredible and I’m excited to continue developing both as an individual and with the team. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the next few years.
“I can’t thank the fans enough for the support they’ve shown me and the team and we’re all excited to see them again at Kingsmeadow next week.”
Charles becomes the fifth Chelsea player to sign a new contract with the club this summer.
