Arsenal have confirmed that more than 45,000 tickets have now been sold for next weekend’s North London Derby.
The Gunners welcome neighbours Tottenham Hotspur to The Emirates Stadium on Saturday 24 September for the first North London Derby of the season in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Tickets have been snapped up in huge numbers since going on-sale over the summer and Arsenal have today confirmed that 45,000 have now been sold.
Next weekend’s clash in N7 is almost certain to bring a new record crowd to the Barclays Women’s Super League. The league’s current record attendance stands at 38,262 which was also recorded for a North London Derby back in November 2019. That game saw Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal meet for the first time in the top tier of the women’s game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Kim Little and Vivianne Miedema got the goals for Arsenal that day as they defeated Spurs 2-0.
The first North London derby of the 2022/2023 campaign promises to be a thriller. Arsenal will be looking to end their trophy drought this season while Spurs are developing their women’s team at a rapid pace. The match promises to be both a competitive and entertaining affair.
Tickets for the latest North London Derby instalment remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
