Liverpool defender Hannah Silcock has signed her first professional contract with the club.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from Liverpool earlier today.
Silcock made five senior appearances for Liverpool in all competitions in 2021/2022 while she was a member of the side which won 1-0 at Sunderland in the group stage of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup on Sunday.
The 18-year-old has spent the last decade with The Reds and the England youth international is being tipped to enjoy a successful senior career on Merseyside.
After signing her first professional terms with Liverpool, Silcock said “It feels amazing, it’s something I’ve been working towards since I was a kid in the Academy and being a Liverpool fan as well, it just makes it so much better.
“I’ve been at the club for 10 years, I signed with Matt (Beard) when I was eight when he was first team manager so I’ve been working towards it all my life and to finally do it is great.
“I’m hoping to play as much as possible, to keep pushing to play in the team and hopefully, get more opportunities in the future.”
With her long term future secured, Silcock will now hope to break into the Liverpool first team on a more regular basis.
