Chelsea begin a period without manager Emma Hayes in the dugout when they travel to Walton Hall Park to take on Everton on Sunday.
Hayes is currently resting at home after having an emergency hysterectomy last week. Assistants Denise Reddy and Paul Green will oversee first team affairs during Hayes’ period of absence.
Everton go into this weekend’s clash without the services of on loan Chelsea forward Aggie Beever-Jones who is not permitted to play against her parent club. Nicoline Sørensen remains sidelined with her long term injury while fellow forward Katja Snoeijs faces a late fitness test after picking up a knock whilst on international duty.
Chelsea boss Hayes is set to communicate virtually with the team in the lead up to the game. She is also expected to be linked up with the bench at Walton Hall Park. Assistant Green has indicated that Serbian international midfielder Jelena Čanković is injured and will miss the match while Melanie Leupolz is still on maternity leave.
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Everton and Chelsea is scheduled to kick-off at 1pm on Sunday afternoon. Everton have confirmed that the game is sold out meaning that no further tickets will be made available for purchase.
