Manchester United set to attract record crowd for Old Trafford return against Aston Villa

Manchester United will be cheered on by more than 30,000 fans when they take on Aston Villa in their latest Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils provided a ticket update via their official club website this morning.

The occasion should see a new attendance record set for a Manchester United Women fixture with the club set to smash the 20,241 attendance figure which was recorded on their last appearance at Old Trafford back in March.

Manchester United are set to play just their third fixture at ‘The Theatre of Dreams’. The Red Devils made their Old Trafford debut back in 2020/2021 as they defeated West Ham United 2-0 in a behind-closed-doors match. Manchester United played a further game at the venue last season when they came from a goal down to defeat Everton 3-1 back in March.

This weekend’s fixture against Aston Villa sees two of the Barclays Women’s Super League’s most improved sides go head-to-head. Manchester United have won six of their seven league matches so far while opponents Aston Villa are already more than halfway to their record points tally which they accrued last season. It promises to be a thrilling game that cannot be missed.
