Selhurst Park to host 2022/2023 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final

Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park has been selected to host the 2022/2023 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final.

The Football Association announced the news this afternoon via an official press release.

Selhurst Park has already hosted women’s football this season with Crystal Palace’s women’s team having played their Barclays Women’s Championship fixtures against Southampton and Charlton Athletic at the venue. Crystal Palace have invested heavily in their women’s team and are very much chasing the dream of guiding their club into the Barclays Women’s Super League in the coming years.

Two Vitality Women’s FA Cup finals have been staged at Selhurst Park in the past and the venue will again host a major domestic cup final when the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final comes to South London in 2023.

Speaking following the announcement, Kelly Simmons, FA Director of The Women’s Professional Game, said “We’re really looking forward to working with Crystal Palace over the coming months to put on a really exciting final.

“Selhurst Park hosts some of the best men’s players in the world over the course of the season in the Premier League and has also played host to the brilliant Crystal Palace in the Barclays Women’s Championship. It is a fitting venue for the final to be held in March.”

The 2022/2023 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final is scheduled to kick-off at 3pm on Sunday 5 March 2023. The game will be broadcast live on the BBC. Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased by clicking here.
