England’s Women’s Finalissima clash against Brazil now sold out

The inaugural Women’s Finalissima 2023 between England and Brazil at Wembley has now officially been declared a sell-out.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via a media update from The Football Association this morning. The two nations will meet at Wembley Stadium on 6 April 2023.

The game sees the UEFA Women’s EURO champions take on the Copa América Femenina winners in the women’s equavalent of the men’s fixture which saw Italy and Argentina go head-to-head at Wembley last summer. Argentina won that game 3-0.

England won the UEFA Women’s EURO for the very first time with a 2-1 extra-time victory over arch rivals Germany in front of a sell-out crowd of 87,192 at Wembley last July. Less than 24 hours earlier, Brazil had lifted the 2022 Copa América Femenina for an eighth time with a 1-0 victory over Colombia in the final in Bucaramanga.

Tickets for the Women’s Finalissima 2023 have been on-sale for a number of weeks. The game has been the subject of heavy demand with tickets being snapped up in huge numbers. It has today been confirmed that all available tickets have now been purchased meaning that England will play in front of a sell-out Wembley crowd for the third consecutive game at the national stadium.

At this stage, no further tickets are expected to become available, although fans will be updated should the situation change.
