Tottenham Hotspur defender Williams joins Billericay Town on loan

Tottenham Hotspur defender Scarlett Williams has joined FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Billericay Town on loan.

Ricay announced details of the arrangement via a post on their official club Twitter account earlier today.

Williams is no stranger to the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, the player spent a period with Watford earlier in the season. Williams made one appearance for The Golden Girls in all competitions.

The 18-year-old has already made a couple of appearances for parent club Spurs at senior level, those outings coming last season. Williams will be hoping to take another step forward in her development during her spell on loan with Billericay Town.

After completing her loan move to the Essex club, Williams told their official media team “I’m so excited to play with the girls and to get more minutes in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.

“I’m very loud, I’m a presence on the pitch and very positive when I play. I’m a Welsh Under-19 international centre-back and I’d say I’m very well-driven and positive, I always want to drive forward.”

Williams could be available for selection when Billericay Town take on Cheltenham Town in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division on Sunday.
