London City Lionesses goalkeeper Pedersen joins Billericay Town on loan

London City Lionesses goalkeeper Anna Pedersen has joined FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Billericay Town on loan.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the transfer via an official media update from London City Lionesses this afternoon.

Pedersen joined London City Lionesses in summer 2021 after leaving Barclays Women’s Super League club Everton. The youngster has provided cover for first-choice goalkeeper Shae Yanez during her career to date at Princes Park.

The Dartford-based club have three quality goalkeepers on their books with former Arsenal stopper Hermoine Cull also in their ranks. Given the competition for the goalkeeping jersey, Pedersen has been allowed to go out on loan for the remainder of the season and hopefully, get some minutes under her belt.

Pedersen joins a Billericay Town side that are aiming to build on the progress that the club have made in recent years. Ricay are currently occupying fifth position in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division table and they are very much looking up towards the elite game, although promotion won’t come this season.

Billericay Town could hand a debut to loan keeper Pedersen when they travel to Stadium MK to take on MK Dons in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division on Sunday.
