PREVIEW: Everton v Liverpool

Everton will be hoping to complete a Merseyside derby double over neighbours Liverpool when the pair meet in-front of more than 20,000 fans at Goodison Park on Friday evening.

The Blue Girls won the reverse fixture 3-0 at Anfield back in late September. Megan Finnigan, Jess Park and Hanna Bennison were all on target for Brian Sørensen’s side that day.

Everton go into their latest fixture without the services of goalkeeper Emily Ramsey who continues to nurse an ankle injury. The England international could be out for up to four more weeks and Courtney Brosnan will continue to fill the void left by her absence. Midfielder Karen Holmgaard is expected to feature in the matchday squad after the completion of concussion protocol.

Liverpool manager Matt Beard remains without long-term absentee Leanne Kiernan while defender Niamh Fahey and forward Natasha Dowie are also still sidelined. Melissa Lawley broke down in training at the start of the week and will not be involved. Shanice van de Sanden is fit after more than a month out with her latest injury.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Everton and Liverpool is scheduled to kick-off at 7.30pm on Friday evening. Tickets for the match remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
