Chelsea will be hoping to cause a huge upset when they take on Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the second leg of their UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final tie at the Spotify Camp Nou this evening.
The Blues trail 1-0 from Saturday’s first leg, Caroline Graham Hansen netting the only goal at Stamford Bridge. Emma Hayes’ side must now try to become the first team to win in Barcelona in the UEFA Women’s Champions League since French club Lyon achieved the feat in March 2018.
Barcelona head coach Jonatan Giráldez will not be able to call upon the services of full-back Lucy Bronze for his side’s latest match. The England international sustained a knee injury in the first leg and has had to undergo surgery. Forward Alexia Putellas is fully-fit and ready to make her return following long-term injury.
Chelsea manager Emma Hayes continues to be without the services of long-term absentees Kateřina Svitková, Fran Kirby and Millie Bright. Centre-back Kadeisha Buchanan is still at least a week away from making a full recovery from an ankle injury.
The UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final, second leg tie between Barcelona and Chelsea is scheduled to kick-off at 5.45pm this evening. The match is available to watch live on DAZN.
