Arsenal are being linked with a move for highly-rated Spanish full-back Paula Tomás.
The 21-year-old currently plays her football in the Spanish Primera División with Levante.
Tomás has developed through the ranks at Levante, representing the club at B Team and C Team levels before advancing into the first team squad. Despite her young age, the player already has 65 Spanish Primera División appearances under her belt for Levante while she has scored one goal. Tomás is most at home in the left-back position, however, she can also operate higher up the pitch if required.
According to well-respected Spanish journalist David Menayo, Tomás is being watched closely by Barclays Women’s Super League club Arsenal. The player has just signed a new long-term contract with Levante therefore The Gunners would have to offer a transfer fee to have any chance of landing Tomás’ services. It is unknown whether the youngster would favour a move to England.
Tomás played alongside Arsenal winger Gio Queiroz in the Levante team last season. Queiroz spent time with Granotes in 2021/2022 with the player having been loaned out by former club FC Barcelona.
Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall is expected to be active in this summer’s transfer window with The Gunners boss likely to want to build more strength-in-depth.
