Bristol City defender Mustaki signs new deal

Bristol City defender Chloe Mustaki has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Mustaki joined Bristol City last summer following a spell playing in her native Republic of Ireland with Shelbourne. The player made 12 appearances for The Robins in the Barclays Women’s Championship, helping Bristol City to keep seven clean sheets in those matches.

The defender has struggled with injuries in recent years and there is undoubtedly much more to come from Mustaki in her Bristol City career.

After signing her contract extension, Mustaki said “I’m thrilled to have signed a new contract with Bristol City. The coaching and club set-up is brilliant and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in my first year as a professional footballer.

“Last season was a dream in many ways, with good people and an exceptionally talented group. I know that Lauren (Smith) and the staff will want to build on that in the WSL, which makes me incredibly excited for next year.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back!”

With her new contract signed, Mustaki will look forward to playing Barclays Women’s Super League football for the first time in her career next season.
