Tottenham Hotspur appoint Vilahamn as new head coach

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the news that Robert Vilahamn has been appointed as the club’s new head coach.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this evening.

It has been reported that Vilahamn has agreed to join Spurs on a two-year deal. He fills the managerial vacancy which has been open since former boss Rehanne Skinner left the club in March. Skinner’s assistant Vicky Jepson saw out the remainder of the 2022/2023 season as interim head coach.

Vilahamn joins Spurs following a spell as head coach of Swedish club BK Häcken. He has guided the club to the Swedish Cup final in each of the last two seasons while Vilahamn has also got some UEFA Women’s Champions League coaching experience under his belt.

After being appointed Spurs’ new head coach, Vilahamn said “It’s an honour to join this world-renowned football club and I’m truly motivated by both the challenge and the opportunity that comes with this role. The Club has a talented group of players and I look forward to leading this team in such an exciting project.”

A further announcement will be made by Spurs in due course with regard to Vilahamn’s coaching staff.
