Sheffield United have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Ella Kinzett ahead of the new season.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blades this evening.
Kinzett is a product of the Manchester United youth system. She featured for The Red Devils at WSL Academy League level but never made a senior appearance for the club. Kinzett joined FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Burnley on a dual-registration basis last season where she played under now-Sheffield United boss Jonathan Morgan.
After completing her move to Sheffield United, Kinzett said “I’m really happy to be here. It’s a great group and an ambitious club so I’m really happy.
“My time with Manchester United has massively helped me and going to Burnley with Jonno helped bridge the gap into women’s football. I know Jonno and it’s good to connect with him again, I know what he expects of me and I hope I can hit the ground running.”
Kinzett becomes Sheffield United manager Morgan’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window. The Blades boss has also added Sophie Barker, Jess Sigsworth, Isobel Goodwin, Ashley Hodson and Jodie Hutton to his squad so far this summer.
