Crystal Palace have completed the signing of London City Lionesses attacker Shanade Hopcroft ahead of the new season.
The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
Hopcroft joins Crystal Palace after spending the last 18 months at London City Lionesses. The attacker made 32 appearances for The Pride in the Barclays Women’s Championship while she scored four goals. Hopcroft provided two assists as London City Lionesses won 5-0 at Crystal Palace last season.
The attacker was one of the most underrated players in the London City Lionesses team and she will be hoping to shine once again with new club Crystal Palace.
After securing Hopcroft’s services, Crystal Palace’s Head of Women’s Football, Grace Williams said “Shanade is a player I know the Crystal Palace fans will love; one who plays with passion, is exciting on the ball, and is full of confidence and flair.
“We look forward to welcoming her to South London and adding her talent to the exciting squad we are building for the season ahead.”
Hopcroft is the second player to join Crystal Palace from London City Lionesses in the last 24 hours. The South Londoners also signed Republic of Ireland international defender Hayley Nolan yesterday.
