Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Bance signs new deal

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Libby Bance has signed a contract extension with the club.

The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Bance has come through the Brighton & Hove Albion academy system and the player has gone on to feature for The Seagulls at first team level. The midfielder has made 30 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Barclays Women’s Super League which have been spread across the last three seasons.

The 20-year-old is growing with every performance and Bance will be looking forward to developing further at Brighton & Hove Albion in the coming years.

After retaining Bance’s services, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Melissa Phillips said “We are thrilled that Libby has extended her contract. She has come through the academy at youth level and it’s fantastic to see her excel in a first team environment.

“She is a talented young player with an incredible level of dedication and determination, and she thoroughly deserves this opportunity.”

Bance follows fellow academy graduate Chelsea Ferguson in signing a new contract at Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. The Sussex club have also brought five new players in and they should complement the youngsters well in the upcoming season.
