Liverpool attacker Yana Daniëls has signed a new contract with the club.
The Reds announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
Daniëls is in her second spell with Liverpool after re-joining the club in summer 2021. Since returning to Merseyside, she has helped the club win the Barclays Women’s Championship title and enjoy a solid campaign back in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
With Daniëls out of contract this summer, Liverpool boss Matt Beard was keen to retain the player’s services and he has now done that.
After signing her new deal, Daniëls said “It feels really good, I always enjoy it here. Also with Matt, I know what he wants and I can really fit with how he wants to play.
“Liverpool is a second home now, I’m really settled and I’m happy here. Also where the club is going, it’s nice to be part of a future project, so I’m really looking forward to it.
“You can feel the ambition is really big from the club and us players as well, so we definitely want to do even better than last season and finish as high as we can.
“I’m quite a versatile player, so I just want to help the team in any position possible.”
Daniëls follows teammate Niamh Fahey in signing a new contract with Liverpool this summer.
