Brighton & Hove Albion announce departure of midfielder Visalli

Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the news that midfielder Brianna Visalli has left the club to join Danish side AGF Aarhus.

The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 28-year-old American defender has been with Brighton & Hove Albion for just a short period after joining the club in the January transfer window. Visalli had signed with the Sussex club until next summer but the decision has now been made for the player to take up a fresh challenge in Denmark.

During her time with Brighton & Hove Albion, Visalli made 14 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring two goals. She helped The Seagulls to retain their top tier status for another year.

After Visalli’s departure was announced, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Melissa Phillips said “In my time working with Bri, she has always been very engaged and highly motivated.

“This is an exciting new challenge, and we wish her well for the future and thank her for her efforts at Brighton.”

Seven players have now left Brighton & Hove Albion since the end of last season. The club have been busy in the transfer market, making six impressive additions so far this summer.
