Arsenal’s teenage attacker Araya Dennis has joined Barclays Women’s Championship club Crystal Palace on a dual-registration basis.
The Eagles announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
Dennis is yet to make her senior debut for Arsenal, however, she was given 15 outings for the club in the WSL Academy League last season in which she scored three goals. The 17-year-old got her first taste of senior football during a dual-registration spell with Watford last season. She made three appearances for The Golden Girls, scoring one goal.
The youngster is still some way away from getting her first minutes for parent club Arsenal and the next step of her development will be in the Barclays Women’s Championship with Crystal Palace.
After securing Dennis’ services, Crystal Palace’s Head of Women’s Football, Grace Williams said “We’re delighted to welcome Araya, who is one of the most exciting young talents in England, to the club, and we look forward to developing her and maximising her potential in South London.”
Dennis is Crystal Palace’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. The player will travel with the squad to St Andrew’s for Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Championship clash with Birmingham City.
