Reading have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Lulu Jarvis on a season-long loan deal from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Royals announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
Jarvis is a product of the Brighton & Hove Albion academy system and she has gone on to feature for the club at first team level. The teenager made her Barclays Women’s Super League debut for The Seagulls last season in their 8-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Broadfield Stadium.
The midfielder needs regular game time to grow and Brighton & Hove Albion have allowed the player to spend this season out on loan.
After adding Jarvis to his squad, Reading manager Liam Gilbert said “She’s an exceptionally talented individual with enormous potential. Her style of play brings excitement to the pitch, and I’m confident that our fans will thoroughly enjoy watching her in The Royals’ blue and white.
“With her raw talent, we believe this is the perfect environment for her to develop and shine. We’ll provide her with all the support she needs to thrive while integrating her into our club’s philosophy, which we’ve been building since our arrival.”
Jarvis could make her Reading debut when they face Southampton at the Select Car Leasing Stadium this weekend.
