Tottenham Hotspur defender Shelina Zadorsky has joined the club’s London rivals West Ham United on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Hammers this afternoon.
The Canadian international links-up with West Ham United manager Rehanne Skinner once again after the pair previously worked together at Spurs.
Zadorsky has spent the last three-and-a-half seasons with Spurs. She has made 56 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored one goal. Her experience will be vital for loan club West Ham United as they look to climb the Barclays Women’s Super League table.
After sealing her loan move to West Ham United, Zadorsky said “I’m delighted to be joining West Ham United.
“Being a defender, I hope I can bring a new presence to the backline and ultimately, help the team to more clean sheets in the second half of the season.
“I think the Club has so much potential. I’ve also worked with Rehanne before and we have a great relationship. She’s a coach that knows how to get the best out of me.
“I feel like this is a really exciting group and I’ve already been welcomed in by everyone here. I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
Zadorsky becomes West Ham United boss Skinner’s second signing of the January transfer window.
