Tottenham Hotspur defender Asmita Ale has joined Leicester City on a loan deal which will run for the remainder of the season.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.
Ale has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons with Spurs after joining the club from Aston Villa. She has made 31 appearances for The Lilywhites in the Barclays Women’s Super League in which she has scored one goal. Ale has started just one league fixture during Robert Vilahamn’s tenure as Spurs head coach and she has now joined Leicester City in a bid to get more regular football.
After completing her move to The King Power Stadium, Ale said “I am really excited to be here and grateful for the opportunity. This is a great Club to come to and I’m looking forward to getting started.
“At my age, it’s important to have game time to develop as a player. It will be good for me joining Leicester and hopefully, I can help the team put some more points on the board.”
Ale becomes Leicester City head coach Willie Kirk’s third signing of the January transfer window. Kirk has also recently added Saori Takarada and Yuka Momiki to his squad.
