Brighton keeper Erhabor signs first professional deal

Brighton & Hove Albion’s teenage goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has signed her first professional contract with the club.

The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

Erhabor joined Brighton & Hove Albion in summer 2023 and she has featured for the club at Under-19 level. The keeper is yet to make the breakthrough at senior level, however, she has been invited to train with the first team squad and was part of that group in pre-season.

The Nigerian keeper is being tipped for a big future in the game and she will continue her development at Brighton & Hove Albion after signing professional terms with the club

After retaining Erhabor’s services, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Under-19 head coach Sinead Hogan-Belcher said “We are delighted that Comfort has signed her first professional contract and committed her future at Brighton.

“Her hard work and determination have been exceptional since she joined the club last year, and she has continuously performed at a good level in both an Under-19 and first-team environment.

“She is a talented young goalkeeper with a bright future ahead of her, and she thoroughly deserves this opportunity as she aims to progress further.”

Erhabor will now continue to work hard both on the training pitch and in Under-19 matches with the aim of impressing first team head coach Melissa Phillips.
