West Ham United midfielder Keira Flannery has joined Reading on a loan deal which will run until the end of the season.
The Royals announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this evening. Prior to completing her move, Flannery signed her first professional terms with parent club West Ham United.
Flannery is a lifelong West Ham United fan. After spending her youth with Arsenal, she got her dream move to East London in summer 2022. Over the course of the last 18 months, Flannery has been regularly named in the West Ham United matchday squad and she has represented the club on five occasions in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
With Flannery having settled well at West Ham United, the club were keen to get the player regular minutes and that will now come in the form of a loan spell at Reading.
After adding Flannery to his squad, Reading manager Liam Gilbert said “We’re delighted to welcome Keira to our club, and we believe she will be a valuable addition to our squad. Her talent and dedication align with our vision for the team, and we look forward to seeing her contribute on the pitch over the next couple of months.”
Flannery joins West Ham United teammates Halle Houssein and Jessie Stapleton at Reading.
