Brighton keeper Erhabor joins Hibernian on loan

Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has joined SWPL 1 club Hibernian on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Hibees announced news of the arrangement via a post on their official club website this morning. The deal was completed ahead of last night’s winter transfer deadline.

Erhabor joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Barclays Women’s Super League rivals West Ham United last summer. The youngster has gone on to represent The Seagulls at Under-19 and Professional Game Academy League levels. Erhabor has impressed the Brighton & Hove Albion coaching staff and she has been rewarded with her first professional contract.

The next step in Erhabor’s career is to go and get some senior minutes and she has been allowed to join SWPL 1 club Hibernian on loan.

After adding Erhabor to his squad, Hibernian manager Grant Scott said “We are pleased to welcome Comfort to the Club, she is a talented young goalkeeper with a lot of potential.

“We look forward to having her join up with the squad this week and add some further depth to our goalkeeping department.”

Erhabor could be involved for loan club Hibernian when they travel to Glasgow City for a Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup tie on Sunday.
