Arsenal have announced the news that 50,000 tickets have now been sold for their North London Derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners face their local rivals at The Emirates Stadium next Sunday. The fixture will be played a little over a fortnight after Arsenal set a new all-time Barclays Women’s Super League ticket sales record with 60,160 having been purchased for the Manchester United match.
Arsenal have this afternoon provided an update on ticket sales for the Spurs fixture via their official club X account. The Gunners have revealed that sales have now hit the 50,000 mark.
In the reverse fixture, it was Spurs who recorded a surprise 1-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Martha Thomas netted the only goal of the game early in the second half. Arsenal registered 31 shots on goal in that match but they were unable to find a way of beating home keeper Barbora Votíková. The Gunners have an excellent home record against Spurs and they will be confident of getting revenge over The Lilywhites next weekend.
