Arsenal will again increase the number of games that their women’s team will play at the Emirates Stadium in 2024/2025.
The Gunners are the Barclays Women’s Super League’s best-supported club. Arsenal played six of their 11 home league matches at the Emirates Stadium this season, recording huge five-figure attendances for all of them.
Given Arsenal’s success in staging games at the Emirates Stadium this season, the club have given the green light for The Gunners to play eight of their 11 Barclays Women’s Super League matches in N5 in 2024/2025, along with any home fixtures in the UEFA Women’s Champions League from the group stage onwards. The Emirates Stadium will be known as Arsenal’s ‘main stadium’ in 2024/2025.
All other matches including fixtures in the domestic cups, will continue to be staged at Meadow Park in Borehamwood.
Speaking following the club’s announcement, Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall said “We have a special connection with our supporters, who have shown up in huge numbers and pushed us forward every step of the way.
“To everyone who has followed us so far, thank you. You have played a key part in our progress and growth, helping us write this story.
“Next season, Emirates Stadium becomes our main home and we’re all excited to play in front of bigger crowds every week. We can’t wait to see you all there.”
Arsenal’s six Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures staged at the Emirates Stadium this season saw an average attendance of 52,029 recorded. The Gunners sold the stadium out on two occasions and set three new Barclays Women’s Super League attendance records.
